職責
(a)策劃、籌辦、推行網上/面見/混合模式的敎師專業發展活動以支援「以英語為母語的英語敎師」(下稱「英語教師」)計劃、英國語文課程指引的實施、本組的語文學習計劃、「種籽」計劃及學校比賽活動的發展工作;
(b)為各類型的敎師專業發展活動,包括中央及校本專業發展活動,發展和管理相關數據庫,以支援策劃工作;
(c)協助有關專業發展活動的研究項目,綜合結果並對專業發展活動的成效撰寫年度報告,以檢討及規劃敎師專業發展活動;
(d)在共同籌劃、課程調適、資源運用及課室管理方面,為英語教師,包括以英語為母語的英語教師,提供專業支援,並創建協作的氛圍;
(e)讓老師知悉本組有關英國語文學習計劃的最新發展;
(f)以學生為本的創新教學策略培養學生學習英語的興趣和促進他們的讀寫能力;以及
(g)執行與為「 英語敎師」計劃有關的其他職務。

(a) To develop online/hybrid/face-to-face Centralised Professional Development (CPD) programme plans and coordinate the execution of these plans to support the implementation of the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Scheme, the English Language Curriculum Guide and the Section's literacy programmes, Seed projects and competitions;
(b) To develop and maintain a database on various types of CPDs for teachers, including school-based programmes;
(c) To prepare an annual report on the effectiveness of the CPDs and other professional development-related services of the Section to review and inform CPD planning and provision;
(d) To provide professional support for English teachers, including NETs, in co-planning, curriculum adaptation, use of resources, classroom management, and to establish a collaborative environment;
(e) To keep teachers well informed of the latest developments in the literacy programmes run by the Section;
(f) To use learner-centred and innovative strategies for developing students' interest in English learning and their literacy skills; and
(g) To perform any other duties related to the NET Scheme as and when required.

(f)擁有良好英語會話及書寫能力;
(g)擁有在壓力下工作的良好能力;
(h)掌握科技運用的最新趨勢及廣泛的教學策略與知識以支援語文教學;
(i)擁有良好諮詢技巧;
(j)具備良好人際交往和組識能力;以及
(甲類)
(a)持有香港所頒授的學士學位,主修英國語文為佳,或具備同等學歷[參閱註(i)];
(b)持有香港專上教育機構所頒授的教育證書,或教授英語作為外語或第二語言的碩士學位,或具備同等學歷[參閱註(ii)];
(c)符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑試或香港中學會考英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績,或具備同等成績[參閱註(ii)];以及
(d)在取得上述(a)及(b)的學歷後,具備不少於6年有關英國語文教學的經驗[參閱註(iii)];或
(乙類)
(a) 持有香港專上教育機構所頒授的教育證書,或具備同等學歷及具備最少15年教授小學或中學英文科的經驗[參閱註(iii)];
(b)符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑試或香港中學會考英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績,或具備同等成績[參閱註(ii)];
(c)具備教授英語作為外語或第二語言的資歷者優先;以及
(d)具備英語教學碩士學位者優先。

Candidates should possess the following requirements :
(a) At least 2 years of experience in developing and implementing literacy programmes suitable for primary and/or secondary students in Hong Kong;
(b) At least 2 years of experience in designing and conducting professional development programmes for English teachers, including NETs and LETs, in local schools;
(c) Experience in using computer programs to develop databases to serve programme planning and evaluation purposes;
(d) Experience in project evaluation;
(e) Experience in leading curriculum development projects preferred;
(f) Good spoken and written English;
(g) Strong ability to work under pressure;
(h) A sound knowledge of a repertoire of pedagogical strategies and latest trends in using technology to support language learning and teaching;
(i) Good consultancy skills;
(j) Good interpersonal and organisational skills; AND
(Category A)
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in English, or equivalent [See Note (i)];
(b) A certificate in education or Master's degree in Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) / Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(c) Met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 2' or above in English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (ii)]; and
(d) At least 6 years of post-qualification [as specified in (a) and (b)] work experience in English language education [See Note (iii)]; OR
(Category B)
(a) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent plus at least 15 years of teaching English at primary or secondary level [See Note (iii)];
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (ii)];
(c) Qualifications for the teaching of English as a Foreign Language or as a Second Language (TEFL/TESL) preferred; and
(d) Master's degree in English language teaching preferred.
