A Fraud Detection Adviser is mainly deployed to - (a)render advice on investigation skills of suspected social security fraud cases, techniques to maintain quality investigation work and preventive strategies against fraud; (b) lead junior investigation officers in fraud investigation, coach the officers in investigation skills and monitor their caseloads stringently to ensure that the output target are met; (c)assist in carrying out investigation on suspected social security fraud cases and conducting data analysis on fraud cases; and (d) organize training programmes on investigation skills for staff.

Candidates should have: (a) (i)Level 3 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or (ii)Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 (Note 3) / Grade C or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; (c)at least 5 years’ full time experience in supervising criminal investigation in law enforcement agencies; (d) sound analytical, communication and supervisory skills; (e) good command of spoken and written Chinese and English. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage; and (f) the ability to perform outdoor work independently.
