The appointee will be deployed on supervisory duties, taking charge of teams undertaking examination of insurance companies, monitoring of insurance intermediaries, enforcing anti-money laundering compliance, analyzing of returns and accounts submitted by insurance companies, and formulating regulatory policy and development.

This position is open to both male and female. Candidates should have –

• (a)
  • (i)associate membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or equivalent; or
  • (ii)associate membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of U.K., or equivalent; or
  • (iii)associate membership of the Society of Actuaries in the U.S.A., or equivalent ; or
  • (iv)a Hong Kong degree in law, or equivalent;

and

• (b)at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the accountancy, insurance, actuarial, MPF, anti-money laundering, or regulatory fields [at least one year of which was obtained after election to associate membership(if applicable)];

and

• (c)obtained Level 3 or above in Chinese language and English language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. (Candidates who do not possess Level 3 but obtained Level 2 in Chinese Language (or equivalent) may also apply.) [See General Notes (h)].
