職責
電子工程師主要負責：(a)規劃、實施和應用電訊、無線電、導航設備、雷達、航空交通管理系統和其他電子系統；(b) 監督、檢查和審批電訊、無線電、導航設備、雷達、航空交通管理系統和其他電子系統的運作和維修標準、程序和做法、安全管理評估和審計等；以及(c) 設計民航電腦系統和開發／維修系統的軟硬件。
(註：或須不定時工作，包括清晨、夜間、周末和公眾假期。)
An Electronics Engineer is mainly deployed on (a) planning, implementation and commissioning of telecommunications, radio, navigational aids, radars, air traffic management systems and other electronics systems; (b) supervision, inspection and approval of operation and maintenance standards, procedures and practices, safety management assessment and audit etc. for telecommunications, radio, navigational aids, radars, air traffic management systems and other electronics systems; and (c) system design and hardware/software development/maintenance for civil aviation related computer systems.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.)
入職條件
申請人必須
(a) 於1975年12月5日後獲選為香港工程師學會(電子工程或資訊工程界別)正式會員，或同等資格；
(b) 在綜合招聘考試能力傾向測試試卷考獲及格成績；以及
(c) 符合語文能力要求，在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷(中文運用和英文運用)中取得「一級」成績，或同等成績。[請參閱註(1) 至(3)]。
Candidates should
(a) be Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Electronics or Information Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent;
(b) have a pass result in the Aptitude Test (AT) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE); and
(c) have met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 1’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)) in the CRE, or equivalent. [See Notes (1 – 3)].

註1： 綜合招聘考試能力傾向測試的考生成績分為「及格」或「不及格」，而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第5級或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第4級成績;或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科D級的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的一級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績;或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第4級成績;或香港高級程度會考英語運用科D級成績;或GCE A Level English Language科D級成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的一級成績。在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。
註2: 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。
