職責
(a) 協助審查建築圖則，以及視察私人發展項目和持牌處所的建築工程（包括小型工程及排水工程）；
(b) 協助視察樓宇和斜坡、勘測樓宇的缺損、修葺工程和違例建築工程、調查滲水源頭、安排頒布法定命令／通知／指示，以及監督由政府承建商進行的工程（包括緊急個案的工程）；
(c) 擬備施工圖則及工程費用預算、協助樓宇資料記錄的管理及整理統計資料的工作，並協助處理上訴、檢控和紀律研訊事宜；以及
(d) 協助進行有關樓宇安全、小型工程監管制度、強制驗樓計劃及強制驗窗計劃的公眾教育和宣傳事宜。
[註：獲取錄的申請人須於戶外工作，或須 (i)輪班當值及不定時執行職務；(ii)在熱帶氣旋、暴雨及其他緊急事故期間執行職務；並 (iii)可能調職至其他政府部門。]

(c) To prepare working drawings and cost estimates, to assist in records management and statistical collation of building information, as well as providing assistance in appeal, prosecution and disciplinary proceedings; and
(d) To assist in public education and publicity on matters relating to building safety, Minor Works Control System, Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme.
[Note: Successful candidates appointed are required to perform outdoor duties, may be required to (i) work shifts or irregular hours; (ii) perform duties during tropical cyclones, rainstorms and other emergencies; and (iii) be posted to other government departments.]

(a) 持有香港理工學院／香港理工大學／香港專業教育學院或工業／科技學院所頒發的建築學、建築測量或建築科技文憑或高級證書，或具備同等學歷(註1及2)；及
(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績(註2、3及4)。

(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Notes 2, 3 and 4).

(1) 現正修讀相關學科的應屆畢業生也可申請；申請人如獲錄用，必須在2022/23學年內取得所需學歷資格才獲聘任。
(2) 持有本港以外學府／非香港考試及評核局所頒授學歷者亦可申請，惟其學歷必須經過評審以確定是否與職位所要求的本地學歷水準相若。有關申請人必須於截止申請日期後的一星期內，把修業成績副本及證書副本郵寄至聯絡地址，並在信封及各證明文件副本上註明網上申請編號。如申請人未能提供所需的文件，其申請概不受理。
