職責
成功的申請人主要負責以下職務 –
(1) 實施、執行及確保遵行《野生動物保護條例》第170章、《公眾衞生（動物及禽鳥）條例》第139章、《動物羈留所條例》第168章等，包括採取執法行動、發出定額罰款通知書及處理檢控個案；
(2) 處理公眾和其他部門就涉嫌違反有關條例的行為提出的投訴和信函，並安排所需調查；
(3) 協助進行野鴿控制的研究和其他工作；
(4) 協助舉辦宣傳活動╱製作宣傳資料，以推廣禁止餵飼野鴿；
(5) 執行香港法例第207章《植物（進口管制及病蟲害控制）條例》或第133章《除害劑條例》下有關植物及除害劑的發牌和執法職責;
(6) 處理有關植物檢疫證明書之申請及執行植物檢疫之工作;
(7) 協助調查項目/教育和推廣活動/編譯刊物並準備相關技術文件;
(8) 製備納入不同數據庫系統的各種格式數據，以及
(9) 執行上司指派的其他職務。
(註：可能須不定時工作，包括清晨及週末，及有需要時駕駛車輛）

The successful candidates are mainly deployed on:
(1) implementing, enforcing and maintaining compliance with the Wild Animals Protection Ordinance, Cap.170, the Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance, Cap.139, the Pounds Ordinance, Cap.168 etc. including carrying out enforcement operations, issuance of fixed penalty notices and processing prosecution cases; (2) handling official complaints and correspondence from the public and other government departments in relation to suspected violation of relevant Ordinances and arrange investigations as appropriate; (3) assisting to carry out studies and other operations on feral pigeon control; (4) assisting to organize publicity events/ develop communication materials to promote feeding ban on feral pigeons; (5) performing duties relating to plant and pesticides licensing and law enforcement of Plant (Importation and Plant Pest Control) Ordinance, Cap. 207, Pesticides Ordinance, Cap. 133; (6) handling application of phytosanitary certification service and performing phytosanitary inspection; (7) assisting in survey projects / education and promotion activities / compiling of publications and preparing relevant technical documents; (8) preparing the data of various formats to be incorporated into various database systems; and (9) performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours including early mornings and weekends; and drive a departmental vehicle when necessary.)

入職條件
申請人必須 (a)(i) 持有由香港理工大學、大學或專業教育學院/科技學院或學院頒發的農業科學、動物科學或畜牧學、生物學、應用生物學、動物管理或動物福利應用科學、化學、應用化學、生態學、環境研究、環境科學或環境管理學的文憑或高級證書，或具同等學歷； (ii) 持有農業或林務學校／學院所頒發的認可文憑，或具同等學歷；以及具有1年農業或郊區／植物／野生生物管理方面的實際經驗；及(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級(註1)或以上成績，或具同等成績。申請人如持有有效的駕駛執照，或具電腦知識和數據處理經驗可獲優先考慮。

The applicant should have (a)(i) a diploma or higher certificate in Agricultural Science, Animal Science / Husbandry, Biology, Applied Biology, Applied Science in Animal Management or Animal Welfare, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Science or Environmental Management from a Hong Kong polytechnic or university or Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / institute, or equivalent; or (ii) a recognised diploma from an agricultural or forestry school/college, or equivalent, and one year’s practical experience in farming or countryside/flora/wildlife management; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 1) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. Preference would be given to candidates with a valid driving licence, or those with good computer knowledge and experience in data processing.
