A Contract Associate Veterinary Technologist is mainly deployed on   Performing laboratory tests by following laboratory work instruction and operating procedures;  Checking sample identification and qualification compliance to sample registration procedure;  Assisting in inventory control and proper storage of reagent, consumables and samples;  Maintaining laboratory equipment according to Standard Operation requirements and schedule;  Performing data entry and sample log-in to the laboratory information system;  Record keeping and assistance in preparation of statistics reports or project plans;  Assisting Laboratory Supervisor in the development and validation of laboratory methods according to NATA / IOS 17025 guideline;  Assisting in quality assurance and quality management matters under supervision;  Assisting in matters related to the cross-border movement of racehorses; and  Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Candidates should - * Be eligible to be registered in Hong Kong as a medical laboratory technologist; * Be undertaking/have completed a qualification recognized by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board such as a diploma in medical laboratory science, or equivalent; * Must be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English, read and write Chinese and English competently; * Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; * Be Conversant with computer software application e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Chinese word processing; and * Have at least 1 year of working experience in veterinary or medical laboratory.
