The Supervisor is mainly deployed on (a) assisting Wetland Park Manager / Wetland Park Senior Supervisor in administration, marketing and promotion, education, operation, maintenance and management of Hong Kong Wetland Park (HKWP); (b) supervising a management unit concerned with HKWP management, countryside management, conservation and management of country parks or special areas; (c) assisting professional officers to collect field data for ecological survey and monitoring, scientific research, environmental impact assessment or management purposes; (d) supervising the production of written, audio-visual and IT / Web-based material for conservation, education and publicity use; (e) assisting in staff training and educational or advisory work connected with conservation, Hong Kong Wetland Park, country parks and special areas; (f) planning, implementing and reviewing education, outreaching and volunteer programmes at Hong Kong Wetland Park, country parks and special areas; (g) performing law enforcement duties on protection of natural environment; (h) supervising and monitoring performance of contractors on outsourced services; and (i) carrying out other duties and assignments in respect of management and operation of HKWP as and when required.

Candidates should have (a) a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Biology / Applied Biology, Botany, Plant Pathology, Ecology, Entomology, Environmental Studies / Science / Management, Forestry, Geography or Horticulture from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 1) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and (c) at least 6 years’ post-qualification working experience, preferably with 3 years at supervisory level.
