(i) to assist in planning and development of digital broadcast facilities, including IT / sever-based systems and digital TV / radio distribution systems; (ii) to undertake engineering feasibility studies in relation to the application of digital broadcast systems in production, post-production and transmission; (iii) to evaluate new broadcast technologies and report on their performance; (iv) to coordinate with internal and external bodies in engineering development; (v) to assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders; and (vi) to supervise external contractors in engineering project implementation.

Candidates should have - (a) (i) a Hong Kong Degree, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, or equivalent; and 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in handling engineering projects in the TV and / or radio broadcast field; OR (ii) an accredited Higher Diploma/Associate Degree, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; and 4 years of relevant hands-on experience; OR (iii) a Diploma/Higher Certificate, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; and 5 years of relevant hands-on experience; AND (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent [See the Note]. Candidates who have - (i) been strong at project planning and performance monitoring; (ii) good knowledge of broadcast production, post-production, transmission and networking; and/or (iii) additional qualification in information technologies will have an advantage.
