• (a)To develop a strategic communication and marketing plan, including utilization of social media, to enhance public awareness of Centre for Food Safety’s image, objectives and new initiatives;
• (b)To Oversee and monitor communication strategies and processes for promoting full range of public relations programmes including utilization of social media;
• (c)To liaise effectively with local media, stakeholders, community and overseas parties including visitors and working partners for information sharing and activity coordination;
• (d)To prepare press releases, speeches and articles for external communications;
• (e)To plan and organize promotion events and activities; and
• (f)To liaise with service vendors on designing and executing programmes.

Candidates should have

• (a)university degree in Communications, or related discipline;
• (b)
  • (i)Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or
  • (ii)Level 3 / Grade C or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 1), or equivalent;
• (c)a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification working experience, with at least 3 years in areas of public relations, media relations, utilization of social media and event management; and
• (d)be able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at one time, presentable, outgoing, with initiative and excellent interpersonal skills, and self-motivated and be able to meet tight deadlines.
