The Planning Coordinator should be responsible for - (a) carrying out planning tasks such as conducting researches planning assessments, managing consultancies related to territorial planning; (b) preparing papers, reports and presentation materials on territorial planning; (c) liaising with different bureaux/departments and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth conduct of the territorial planning study; (d) assisting in the conduct of public engagement and publicity activities on territorial planning; and (e) performing any other duties related to territorial planning as required.

Candidates should - (a)(i) be Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP); or (ii) be Corporate Members of other professional town planning institutes recognised by the Director of Planning, and have a pass in Part II of the HKIP Qualifying Examination; (b) have 3 years or more of the appropriate working experience in the planning field after obtaining the professional qualification stated in (a); (c) have attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note); (d) speak fluent Cantonese and English, and fluency in Putonghua is an advantage; (e) have extensive knowledge and working experience in territorial or sub-regional planning; and (f) have good knowledge of government operations and procedures in planning and land development.
