A Contract New Media Writer is mainly deployed in fields of social media, publicity, public relations and community engagement. Mainly responsible for social media related research; information and message of dissemination; drama, story, script and textual content writing (both Chinese and English); publicity and promotions, and emergency duties. Required to work shifts and at irregular hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Candidates should have – (a) a bachelor’ degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent, with disciplines in Communications, Journalism or Translation; (b) at least 5 years’ full-time post graduate working experience in community engagement, corporate communications, public relations, interactive media, advertisement or social media marketing in a sizable organization, with the use of mobile applications, interactive, digital and/or social media platforms [see Note (1)]; (c) attained Level 3 [see Note (2)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (d) proficiency in software applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of software applications and experience in graphic/media design and editing are considered an advantage; and (e) proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English, and possessing good presentation and interpersonal skills.
