(a) To formulate and render on-site school-based professional support service to secondary schools in respect of school-based curriculum development in the Key Learning Area of Personal, Social & Humanities Education (PSHE) and History, and in the light of curriculum initiatives such as e-learning, self-directed learning, and catering for learner diversity as and when appropriate; (b) To develop effective learning, teaching and assessment strategies as well as curriculum resources for enhancing student learning; (c) To develop and enhance the professional capacity of curriculum leaders and to organize professional development activities for school personnel to facilitate school-based curriculum development; (d) To disseminate effective practices of schools in developing school-based curriculum and support service; (e) To facilitate the conceptualisation of evidence-informed practices to generate contextual knowledge in school-based curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment; and (f) To assist in administrative duties of the Section.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in subjects relevant to History, or equivalent [See Note (ii)]; (b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent; (c) Met the language proficiency requirement of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [See Note (iii)]; (d) At least 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience in teaching, curriculum development in secondary schools [See Note (iv)]; (e) Good knowledge of the local education system and the curriculum reform; and (f) Candidates may be required to take a written test on the day of selection interview.
