法律翻譯主任主要負責為以下文件提供中英文互譯服務：
- (a)制定法例前的條例草案及附屬法例的擬稿；
- (b)法庭程序所需的文件；以及
- (c)法律改革委員會的報告書及相關材料。
職責
A Law Translation Officer is mainly deployed on translating from one language to another language, English or Chinese –
- (a)draft Bills and subsidiary legislation prior to enactment;
- (b)documents required for the purposes of court proceedings; and
- (c)reports of the Law Reform Commission and related materials.
入職條件
申請人須具備下列資格 —
- (a)持有本地大學學位，或同等學歷；
- (b)精通中文和英文；
- (c)取得上文(a)項所述學位或同等學歷後，在翻譯方面至少有7年工作經驗；
- (d)對下列一個或多個範疇有廣泛認識，並具備相關工作經驗：
- (i)法律翻譯；
- (ii)法庭或其他法律工作；
- (iii)編輯或新聞工作；
- (iv)財經；
- (v)商業；
- (vi)航運；
- (vii)中國法律；以及
- (e)符合語文能力要求，即在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷(包括中文運用及英文運用)中取得二級(註1)成績或同等成績(註2)。
(備註：申請人須通過筆試。)
Candidates should have -
- (a)a degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
- (b)an excellent command of English and Chinese;
- (c)a minimum of seven years' work experience in translation after obtaining the degree or equivalent mentioned in
- (a)above;
- (d)a wide general knowledge and work experience in one or more of the following fields –
- (i)legal translation;
- (ii)court or other legal work;
- (iii)editing or journalism;
- (iv)finance;
- (v)commerce;
- (vi)shipping;
- (vii)Chinese law; and
- (e)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 results (Note 1) in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and the Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (Note 2).
(Remark: Candidates will be required to pass the written examination.)
入職條件(註)
- (1)綜合招聘考試的中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為二級、一級或不及格，並以二級為最高等級。
- (2)政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績；或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)(GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級成績。 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。
- (3)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。
