職責
音樂主任(中樂)的主要職責為 -
(a) 教授器樂訓練班,聯絡學員家長,統籌教材,就課程、教學大綱及訓練計劃提出建議,以及執行其他訓練相關的行政職務;
(b) 協助籌組器樂訓練班及暑期音樂營的學員招募委員會、樂團/樂隊試音遴選委員會及內部評核委員會,並擔任該等委員會的主席/成員;
(c) 擔任導師樂團/合奏團/音樂會的指揮/演奏員,並協助籌劃音樂會的內容;
(d) 擔任高級樂團/樂隊的指揮,並協助準備訓練曲目,籌組表演,製備樂曲簡介及其他與樂團/樂隊演出有關的印刷資料;協助督導初級及中級樂團/樂隊的策劃、訓練及表演事宜;以及統領學員音樂會及聯合音樂會的彩排;
(e) 協助策劃和統籌音樂事務處舉辦的各項音樂活動;
(f) 管理和督導助理音樂主任及兼職導師/演奏員的工作,進行視學,並撰寫視學報告;
(g) 協助盤點和採購樂器,並處理樂器的保養和維修事宜;以及
(h) 協助處理中樂組的行政及管理工作。
(註:或須不定時工作。)

A Music Officer (Chinese) is mainly deployed to:
(a) teach instrumental training classes, liaise with parents, co-ordinate teaching materials, propose the curriculum, syllabus and training plans, and carry out other training administrative duties;
(b) assist in the planning of recruitment panels for the instrumental training classes and summer music camp, orchestra/band audition boards and internal assessment panels; and to serve as chairman/member of these boards/panels;
(c) serve as conductor/tutti player in the Instructor’s Orchestra/Ensemble/Concert and to assist in the planning of concert content;
(d) serve as conductor of flagship orchestras/bands and to assist in the preparation of training repertoire, organising performances, programme notes and other printing information concerning performances of these orchestras/bands; to assist in supervising the planning, training and performances of elementary and intermediate level orchestras/bands; and to act as the officer-in-charge of dress rehearsal of trainees’ concerts and joint concerts;
(e) assist in the planning and co-ordination of music programmes for various Music Office activities;
(f) manage and supervise the work of Assistant Music Officers and part-time instructors/performers, conduct class inspections and prepare inspection reports;
(g) assist in stock-checks, procurement and maintenance and repair of musical instruments; and
(h) assist in the administration and management of the Chinese Section.
(Notes: May be required to work irregular hours.)

入職條件
(a) (i)持有經公開考試而獲認可音樂機構頒發的中樂樂器文憑,或具同等學歷;或
(ii)持有認可機構頒發的音樂文憑,並以中樂樂器為主修科,或具同等學歷;
(b) 在取得上述學歷後,具不少於6年在認可機構或團體全職從事有關中樂樂器的教學/表演工作經驗;
(c) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級[見註(i)]或以上成績,或具同等成績;
(d) 能操流利粵語;以及
(e) 具指揮樂團的經驗。
(ii)持有認可機構頒發的音樂文憑,並以中樂樂器為主修科,或具同等學歷;
(b) 在取得上述學歷後,具不少於6年在認可機構或團體全職從事有關中樂樂器的教學/表演工作經驗;
(c) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級[見註(i)]或以上成績,或具同等成績;
(d) 能操流利粵語;以及
(e) 具指揮樂團的經驗。
(a) (i)have an associate diploma in Chinese instrument conferred by a recognized music institution through public examination, or equivalent; or
(ii)have a diploma in music from a recognized institution with a major study in Chinese instrument, or equivalent;
(b) have not less than 6 years’ full-time post-qualification working experience in teaching/performing Chinese instrument in recognized institutions or organisations;
(c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [see Note (i)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or the HKCEE, or equivalent;
(d) be able to speak fluent Cantonese; and
(e) have experience in conducting orchestras.
(ii)have a diploma in music from a recognized institution with a major study in Chinese instrument, or equivalent;
(b) have not less than 6 years’ full-time post-qualification working experience in teaching/performing Chinese instrument in recognized institutions or organisations;
(c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [see Note (i)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or the HKCEE, or equivalent;
(d) be able to speak fluent Cantonese; and
(e) have experience in conducting orchestras.
