Successful candidates will be responsible for: <br>(a)providing legal advice on matters relating to land disposal, land exchange, lease modification, land acquisition and other matters concerning land; <br>(b)drafting and scrutinizing land documents including Conditions of Grant/Exchange/Lease Extension, Modification Letters, Deeds of Surrender, No-objection Letters, Waiver Letters, Short Term Tenancies, Licences and other land documents; <br>(c)checking and approving title in land resumption and land exchange cases and approving resumption and surrender documents and checking execution of land documents; <br>(d)providing relief in the provision of legal advisory and conveyancing services; and <br>(e)performing such other duties as may be assigned.

Candidates should: <br>

• (a)
  • (i)be solicitors admitted in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance and have at least 3 years' post-qualification professional experience; or <br>(ii)be barristers with at least 4 years' professional experience since attaining the right to full practice in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance; <br>(b)have knowledge of and experience in land law or property conveyancing; <br>(c)have attained Level 3 or above in English Language and Level 2 or above in Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination; or equivalent; and <br>(d)be fluent in English and Cantonese.
