An Operations and Training Officer is mainly deployed on

• (a)organizing and conducting training courses for Auxiliary Medical Service volunteers and Government officers in first aid, including the maintenance of training and/or administrative records, interviewing and selecting applicants for enrolment into the Auxiliary Medical Service; and
• (b)performing operational duties during and after disasters and emergencies;
• (c)performing deployment and operational duties related to public first-aid and health protection services; and
• (d)performing administration duties related to operation and training.

On appointment, a successful candidate is required to become a member on the volunteer side of the Auxiliary Medical Service. He/She is required to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, Sundays and public holidays, and is required to wear uniform.

Candidates should have

• (a)
  • (i)Level 2 or equivalent [See Note (2)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [See Note (3)], or equivalent; or
  • (ii)Level 2 [See Note (4)] / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [See Note (3)], or equivalent;
• (b)an aptitude for teaching and the ability to plan and organize training activities, and to supervise others;
• (c)a valid First Aid Certificate and general knowledge of nursing;
• (d)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [See Note (4)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and be able to speak fluent English and Cantonese; and
• (e)a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test [See Note (5)].

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Physical Fitness and Functional Test and a Job-related Performance Test. Only those candidates who have passed the tests will be considered for interview.
