Main duties of the Communications Assistant are:
(a) To assist the Communications Team in conducting research on topical issues and executing administrative duties;
(b) To be responsible for graphic design, including developing ideas, drawing and refining;
(c) To edit graphics with effects to publish in a wide range of media platforms, including but not limited to social media platforms, mobile app and website; and
(d) To perform any other duties as assigned.

Candidate should -
(a)(i) have Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects [see Note (1)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [see Note (2)], or equivalent; or
(ii) have Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [see Note (2)], or equivalent
(b) have at least 5 years’ full-time working experience in graphic design in local or international news organisations;
(c) fluent Cantonese with basic knowledge of Putonghua;
(d) be proficient in software applications including Adobe production software like Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Final Cut Pro. Knowledge and experience in social media operations are considered an advantage;
(e) have experience in graphic design for government bodies or non-government organsations; and
(f) be organised, attentive to details and with strong commitment to accomplish tasks under tight deadlines; and prepared to work long and irregular hours.
