Police Translator II
總薪級表第10點(每月港幣16,855元)至總薪級表第21點(每月港幣29,795元)
職責
A Police Translator II is mainly deployed on performing translation, interpretation and preparation of charge sheets duties in Police Stations, Crime offices or any other Formation/Unit as required.
Note:
A Police Translator II is required to work shifts (including night shifts).
入職條件
申請人必須
- (a)
- (i)持有香港中學會考五科成績達第2等級／E級或以上，或同等學歷，及具三年翻譯及傳譯或經常講寫英語的工作經驗；或
- (ii)持有香港其中一所理工學院／理工大學頒發的翻譯／傳譯高級文憑，或註冊專上學院在其註冊日期後頒發的中國語文／英國語文文憑，或同等學歷；或
- (iii)持有香港高等院校頒發並獲認可的翻譯／傳譯或中國語文／英國語文副學士學位，或同等學歷；
- (b)英文打字速度每分鐘達30字；以及
- (c)符合語文能力要求，即香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科成績達第3等級或以上，或同等學歷；及能操流利普通話（能通過部門主持的普通話考試）（註：上述（a）項的科目可包括中國語文科和英國語文科。）
Candidates should
- (a)
- (i)have Level 2/Grade E or above in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and 3 years’ experience in jobs involving either translation and interpretation work or the frequent use of written and spoken English; OR
- (ii)have a higher diploma in translation/interpretation from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or a diploma in Chinese/English from a registered post-secondary college awarded after the date of its registration, or equivalent; OR
- (iii)have an accredited Associate Degree in translation/interpretation or in Chinese/English from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent;
- (b)have English typing speed of 30 words per minute; and
- (c)meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE, or equivalent; and fluency in Putonghua (be able to pass a Putonghua Examination administered by the Department).
Note:
the subjects in (a) above may include Chinese Language and English Language.

- (1)申請人須通過翻譯筆試方獲挑選接受普通話考試/英文打字速度測驗/面試。(2)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。應徵者如獲邀參加遴選面試，會被安排於面試當日參加基本法知識筆試。筆試會於面試開始前或結束後舉行。應徵者在基本法知識測試的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素。
