負責(i)策劃和開發數碼廣播設施及網絡，包括數碼電視及電台輸入／分配系統、遙距監控系統、網絡冗餘及復修等；(ii)研究有關數碼廣播傳送的工程可行性；(iii)就新廣播技術進行評估及報告其表現；(iv)就工程開發在內部與外間組織之間進行協調；(v)擬備及評估標書；(vi)督導工程人員；及(vii)就工程項目的執行監察外間承辦商。
職責
- (i)to carry out planning and development of digital broadcast facilities and networks, including digital TV and radio contribution / distribution systems, remote monitoring systems, network redundancy and restoration;
- (ii)to conduct engineering feasibility studies in relation to digital broadcast transmission;
- (iii)to evaluate new broadcast technologies and to report on their performances;
- (iv)to coordinate with internal and external bodies in engineering development;
- (v)to prepare and evaluate tenders;
- (vi)to supervise engineers; and
- (vii)to supervise external contractors during engineering project implementation.

- (a)
- (i)持有香港的大學學位，以主修電子／電訊或電腦學科為佳，或具同等學歷；並具七年實際處理廣播工程項目的經驗，並專長於下列其中兩項或以上範疇：如(a)電台或電視射頻傳送；(b)數碼廣播製作或後期製作；(c)電視總控制室及直播室；(d)廣播網絡；及(e)電力／發射站工程；或
- (ii)持有認可高級文憑／副學士學位，以主修電子／電訊或電腦學科為佳，或具同等學歷，並具八年實際處理相關工作的經驗，並專長於上列其中兩項或以上範疇；或
- (iii)持有認可文憑／高級證書，以主修電子／電訊或電腦學科為佳，或具同等學歷，並具九年實際處理相關工作的經驗，並專長於上列其中兩項或以上範疇；
- (b)最少有三年督導工程人員的相關經驗；
- (c)在香港中學會考英國語文科考獲第2等級成績，或具同等學歷[參閱註] ；並能書寫流暢英文；
- (d)對尖端廣播技術有深入的認識，包括高清電視、DAB+、數碼新聞廣播、廣播網絡和媒體資產管理及其應用。
如具有資訊科技方面的額外資歷則更為理想。
附註：經驗較淺者或會被考慮聘任為二級工程師。
Candidates should have
- (a)
- (i)a Hong Kong Degree, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, or equivalent; and 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in handling broadcast engineering projects, specializing in two or more engineering fields, such as
- (a)Radio or TV RF transmission;
- (b)digital broadcast production or post-production;
- (c)TV master control and presentation;
- (d)broadcast networking; and
- (e)station engineering; OR
- (ii)an accredited Higher Diploma/Associate Degree, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, or equivalent; and 8 years of relevant hands-on experience, specializing in two or more engineering fields as stated in
- (a)
- (i)above; OR
- (iii)a Diploma/Higher Certificate, preferably in electronics/telecommunication or computer, or equivalent; and 9 years of relevant hands-on experience, specializing in two or more engineering fields as stated in
- (a)
- (i)above;
- (b)at least 3 years of relevant experience in supervising engineers;
- (c)Level 2 in English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See the Note] and proficient in written English;
- (d)good understanding of the latest broadcast technologies including HDTV, DAB+, Digital Newsroom, Broadcast Networks, MAM and their applications.
Additional qualifications in information technologies is an advantage.
Remarks: Candidates with less experience may be considered to be appointed as Engineer II.
