負責(i)策劃和開發數碼廣播設施及網絡，包括數碼電視及電台輸入／分配系統、遙距監控系統、網絡冗餘及復修等；(ii)研究有關數碼廣播傳送的工程可行性；(iii)就新廣播技術進行評估及報告其表現；(iv)就工程開發在內部與外間組織之間進行協調；(v)擬備及評估標書；(vi)督導工程人員；及(vii)就工程項目的執行監察外間承辦商。

(i) to carry out planning and development of digital broadcast facilities and networks, including digital TV and radio contribution / distribution systems, remote monitoring systems, network redundancy and restoration; (ii) to conduct engineering feasibility studies in relation to digital broadcast transmission; (iii) to evaluate new broadcast technologies and to report on their performances; (iv) to coordinate with internal and external bodies in engineering development; (v) to prepare and evaluate tenders; (vi) to supervise engineers; and (vii) to supervise external contractors during engineering project implementation.
