The appointee will be supervising examination teams in the formulation of policies on implementing the AML/CTF regulatory regime of the insurance sector, conducting on-site inspection programmes on relevant insurance institutions on AML/CTF compliance, as well as investigation and enforcement work under the AML/CTF legislation.

Candidates should have –

• (a)
  • (i)a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; or
  • (ii)fellow membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or equivalent; or
  • (iii)fellow membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of U.K., or equivalent;

and

• (b)at least 10 years of working experience [at least 5 years of which was in accountancy, internal or external audit, insurance, legal / internal control / compliance, anti-money laundering (“AML”) and counter-terrorist financing (“CTF”) area, law enforcement, or work in a financial regulatory authority/government organization];

and

• (c)obtained Level 3 or above in English language and Chinese language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination / Hong Kong Diploma Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent. [See General Notes (h)].
