Successful candidate will be required to assist in – (a) development of security policy for the Air Quality Monitoring Data Acquisition and Control System (AMDAC System) according to ISO27001; (b) development of Business Continuity Plan for the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) reporting/dissemination and AMDAC system according to ISO22301; (c) reviewing Standard Operation Procedures and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) manuals on data processing and management; (d) development of training material and conduct training on air quality monitoring and data analysis; and (e) studying the feasibility of migration of AQHI web site to public cloud and reviewing of AQHI web site and data dissemination channels. (Notes: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the Department.)

Candidates should have – (a) a diploma in Chemical Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Studies or a relevant science or engineering subject from a Hong Kong university/Hong Kong polytechnic, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a Hong Kong technical college/Hong Kong technical institute, or equivalent; (b) at least 15 years of experience in handling and processing air quality data, developing and maintaining IT infrastructures for dissemination of real time air quality data/information to the public using different channels; (c) at least 5 years of experience in operation of air quality monitoring stations including maintenance of air quality monitoring equipment; and (d) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note: For non-civil service appointment purpose, “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
