首席技術主任主要擔任以下職務，或需接受職位調派：
- (a)監督部門內與廣播有關的電腦系統／應用程式，以及網絡和流動裝置系統的相關工作；(b)更新部門內與廣播有關的電腦系統／應用程式的相關使用者指引及培訓教材；(c)就資訊科技事宜，包括標準及方法、採購、終端用戶電腦或品質保證，提供技術支援及意見；以及(d)管理和協調員工及其他資源。
註：
或需不定時工作和輪班當值，和在颱風、黑色暴雨警告及其他緊急情況下工作。

職責
Principal Technical Officer is mainly deployed on the following duties and may be subject to posting:
- (a)supervising the work related to broadcasting related computer systems / applications as well as web and mobile systems in the department;
- (b)updating user guides and training materials related to broadcasting related computer systems / applications in the department;
- (c)providing technical support and advice on information technology matters including standards and methodologies, procurement, end-user computer or quality assurance; and
- (d)managing and coordinating staff and other resources.
Note:
May be required to work irregular hours and shifts; and to work during typhoons, Rainstorm Black Warning and other emergencies.

申請人必須：
- (a)持有香港的理工學院／理工大學或香港專業教育學院／科技學院／工業學院所頒發的文憑或高級證書，主修與資訊科技或電腦科學相關的學科，或具同等學歷；兼具八年項目管理／電腦系統分析及設計／編製應用程式／編製電腦系統／運作管理／專門技術支援的相關工作經驗，當中應包括最少一年處理與廣播有關的電腦系統的工作經驗；及
- (b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績。
Candidates should have
- (a)a Diploma or Higher Certificate in relevant disciplines of Information Technology or Computer Science from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent; and 8 years’ relevant experience in project management / system analysis and design / application programming / system programming / operations management / specialized technical support, which should include at least 1 year's working experience in handling broadcasting related computer systems; and
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
入職條件(註)
- (1)政府在聘任公務員時，過往香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)C級與E級的成績，在行政上會視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科分別第3等級與第2等級的成績。
- (2)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。申請人如獲邀參加面試，會被安排於面試當日參加《基本法》知識筆試。申請人在《基本法》知識測試的表現，是評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素。
- (3)於職位申請截止日起計三個月內將取得訂明學歷的申請人，亦可申請。申請人需圓滿考獲所要求學術資格方獲考慮聘任。
- (4)申請人出席招聘面試，須於事前或事後提供文件證明其具備相關學歷和經驗。
