職責
建築師的主要職責是 (a) 規劃、設計和監督政府建築物的建造工程及設施；(b) 執行工程策劃管理職務，包括配合工程項目的需要、管理外判工程項目的合約和顧問合約；(c) 就建築及屋宇發展相關事宜提供意見；(d) 進行建築相關職務，例如政府建築物保養工程；及 (e) 監督及訓練輔助技術人員。 [請參閱註 (C)]
Architect is mainly deployed on (a) planning, designing and supervising the construction of government buildings and facilities; (b) performing project management duties including co-ordination of project requirements, the administration of contracts and consultancy agreements in outsourced projects; (c) providing advice on architectural and building development related issues; (d) undertaking architectural related duties, e.g. maintenance of government buildings; and (e) supervising and training staff. 入職條件
申請人必須 - (a) 為香港建築師學會的會員，或具備同等資格；及香港建築師註冊管理局的註冊建築師，及 (b) 在綜合招聘考試能力傾向測試試卷取得及格成績；及 (c) 符合語文能力要求，在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷 (中文運用及英文運用)中取得一級成績，或同等資格。[請參閱註 (A) 及 (B)]
Candidates should – (a) be Members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), or equivalent; and Registered Architects of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) of Hong Kong and (b) have a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE); and (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent. 入職條件(註)
(A)(i) 綜合招聘考試能力傾向測試試卷成績分為及格和不及格，而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為二級、一級或不及格，並以「二級」為最高等級。
(ii) 政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第5級或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第4級成績;或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科D級的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的一級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績;或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績;或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第4級成績;或香港高級程度會考英語運用科D級成績;或GCE A Level English Language科D級成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的一級成績。
(iii) 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。
(B) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。申請人在基本法測試的表現會佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。
(C) 受聘人或會調派於決策局或其他政府部門工作。
