職責
研究經理主要受聘為處理部門的各類短期工作，並在高級統計師的指導和帶領下執行以下職務：策劃、籌備和進行統計工作項目；設計、建立和管理統計系統；分析、闡釋和介紹統計資料，包括撰寫報告；進行統計研究；在有需要時主管政府統計處轄下的分組；督導和帶領下屬人員工作。
Research Managers are employed to meet temporary job needs of the Department. They are required to perform the following duties under the coaching and guidance of a Senior Statistician: Plan, organise and conduct statistical projects; design, implement and upkeep statistical systems; analyse, interpret and present statistical data, including report writing; undertake statistical research; manage a section of the Department when necessary; supervise and provide guidance to staff.
入職條件
本職位男女均可申請，申請人必須符合以下條件：
(a) (i) 持有本港大學頒授的統計學一級或二級榮譽學位或更高學位，或同等學歷；或
(ii) 持有本港大學頒授的數學、經濟學、社會學或有關學科一級或二級榮譽學位或更高學位，當中統計學必須為修讀科目之一，或同等學歷；或
(iii) 已獲頒授香港統計學會的學位統計師資格，或同等學歷；
及
(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績。
This position is open to both male and female. Candidates should have –
(a) (i) a first or second class honours degree or a higher degree in Statistics from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; or
(ii) a first or second class honours degree or a higher degree with Statistics as one of the subjects taken, in Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, or a related field from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; or
(iii) been designated as Graduate Statistician of the Hong Kong Statistical Society, or equivalent;
AND
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
入職條件(註)
(1) 申請人在截止申請日期（即2016年11月24日）仍未具備所需資格，則被視作未能符合入職條件。不過，現正修讀最後一年學士學位或研究院課程的應屆畢業生亦可申請。如獲甄選，聘用與否須視乎申請人是否在2016/17學年內取得所需的學歷資格和是否達到所定的語文能力要求。
(2) 申請人須參加及通過在香港舉行的筆試*（暫定於2017年1月7日舉行，確實日期待定），才會獲考慮參加遴選面試。
(3) 政府在聘任時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科（課程乙）E級成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級成績。
