A Registered Nurse is mainly deployed on – (a) carrying out inspection of residential care homes and advising and monitoring improvement/remedial measures to be carried out by the residential care homes for the issue of licence under relevant licensing scheme; (b) carrying out general nursing duties to persons including the physically or mentally disabled, children in need of care and protection and juvenile offenders, and supervising and giving advice and guidance to other staff in the provision of medical and domestic care when required; and (c) providing assistance on matters relating to clinical issues of tenders and contracts monitoring. (Remarks: (i) may be required to work irregular hours and perform shift, on-call or standby dutie; (ii) may be required to wear uniform which is provided free; and (iii) subject to deployment to any places.)

Candidates should – (a) possess a Certificate of Registration (Part I) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong [Note (ii)], or equivalent; (b) possess a valid practising certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong [Note (ii)]; and (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination [Note (iii)], or equivalent; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese.
