職責
技工(機工)主要負責：
(a)操作起重機械，包括吊桿、吊機、流動吊船機和同步升降台；
(b)使用和操控吊機以起卸重型設備；以及
(c)為履帶式吊機、各式吊機及相關電動設備進行日常保養維修。
[註：或須(i)執行緊急職務／輪班當值，以及在偏遠地區或惡劣環境下進行戶外工作; (ii)在水警前線基地和政府船隻上工作；以及須穿著制服和防護衣物。]

An Artisan (Plantman) is mainly deployed on:
(a)operation of lifting machinery including derricks, cranes, travel-hoists, and synchro-lifts;
(b)handling and controlling cranes for lifting heavy equipment; and
(c)day-to-day maintenance of crawler crane, cranes and associated electrical equipment.
[Remarks :May be required to (i) perform emergency/shift duties and work outdoor in remote areas or during rigorous conditions; (ii) work in Marine Police Forward Bases and on board government vessels; and will be required to wear uniform and protective clothing.]

(b)持有有效的流動起重機操作證書；
(c)小六畢業或同等學歷；
(d)中、英文語文能力達小六程度；以及
(e)在適當程度的技能測驗取得及格成績。
(a)(i)完成電機工程／吊桿、吊機、流動吊船機或同步升降台操作的認可學徒訓練或其他認可訓練課程；或
(ii)具有最少四年運用電機工程／吊桿、吊機、流動吊船機或同步升降台操作的工作經驗；
(b)持有有效的流動起重機操作證書；
(c)小六畢業或同等學歷；
(d)中、英文語文能力達小六程度；以及
(e)在適當程度的技能測驗取得及格成績。
Candidates should -
(a)(i)have completed an approved apprenticeship or other approved course of training in electrical engineering/ operation of derricks, cranes, travel-hoists or synchro-lifts; or
(ii)have at least four years’ experience in electrical engineering/ operation of derricks, cranes, travel-hoists or synchro-lifts;
(b)have valid certificate(s) for performing mobile crane operations;
(c)have completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent;
(d)have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard; and
(e)be able to pass a trade test at the appropriate level.

入職條件(註)
為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。
