- (a)負責督導轄下職員執行職務；(b)訓練、指導與監管懲教院所內的在囚人士從事製衣或針織品生產; (c)監督工序包括一般成衣縫紉或針織品織縫、物料預算、紙樣製作、剪裁、整熨、包裝、品質保證、生產機器和設備操作及保養；(d)擬備職業訓練教材及教授有關課程；(e)執行職業安全及健康守則及相關規例；以及(f)執行其他指派職務。 <br>註：獲聘人士須受《監獄條例》約束，以及須要穿著制服或須輪班當值及在部門宿舍居住。

Technical Instructor (Garment)
一般紀律人員(主任級)薪級表第4點(每月34,590元)至一般紀律人員(主任級)薪級表第14點(每月59,290元)。
職責
- (a)Supervising subordinates in performing their duties;
- (b)training, instructing and supervising persons in custody in correctional institutions engaged in garment or knitwear production;
- (c)overseeing work processes including sewing, knitting, material estimation, pattern making, cutting, pressing, packing, quality assurance, machines and equipment operation and maintenance;
- (d)preparing vocational training materials and teaching related classes;
- (e)enforcing the Code of Practice on Occupational Safety and Health and related regulations; and
- (f)performing any other duties as assigned. <br>(Note: Subject to the provisions of the Prisons Ordinance, the appointee may be required to wear uniform, work shifts and live in departmental quarters.)
入職條件
- (a)申請人必須完成有關成衣、紡織或針織品行業的學徒訓練或院校訓練課程，並能出示證明，顯示在成衣、紡織或針織品生產方面的相關工作經驗[參閱入職條件註(1)]。有關的訓練及工作經驗合共不得少於十年；(b)中、英文語文能力相當於中三程度；並能操流利粵語及簡單英語；以及(c)須接受並通過能力傾向測驗及製衣的技能測驗[參閱入職條件註(2)]。
- (a)have completed an apprenticeship or institutional training in clothing, textile or knitwear industry; and be able to furnish evidence that they have had relevant working experience in clothing, textile or knitwear production
Note 1 under Entry Requirements] . Total period of training and working experience should not be less than 10 years;
- (b)have attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Form 3 standard; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and simple English; and
- (c)undergo and pass an aptitude test and a trade test in garment making

- (2)只有通過能力傾向測驗、製衣的技能測驗及其後遴選面試的申請人才會獲考慮聘任。 <br>
- (3)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。
