職責
(a) 測試車輛是否適宜在道路上行走及確定汽車和拖架的損壞程度；
(b) 操作車輛測試設備、進行日常維修保養工作；以及
(c) 協助監察承辦商的檢驗工作質素。

(a) testing the road-worthiness and ascertaining defects of motor vehicles and trailers;
(b) undertaking operation, routine servicing and maintenance of vehicle testing equipment; and
(c) assisting in monitoring contractor’s inspection quality.

入職條件
申請人必須：
(a)(i) 完成有關的認可技術員學徒訓練，並獲香港的理工大學／學院、香港專業教育學院或工業／科技學院頒發汽車工程證書，或具同等學歷；或 (ii) 完成有關的認可技工學徒訓練，並獲香港的理工大學／學院、香港專業教育學院或工業／科技學院頒發汽車工程證書，或具同等學歷；以及在完成學徒訓練後，在汽車工程方面具備至少一年經驗；或 (iii) 完成有關的認可技術員學徒訓練，及在完成學徒訓練後，在汽車工程方面具備至少兩年經驗；或 (iv) 完成有關的認可技工學徒訓練，及在完成學徒訓練後，在汽車工程方面具備至少三年經驗；
(b) 持有駕駛中型貨車的有效香港正式駕駛執照；以及
(c) 具備相當於中三程度的中英文語文能力。

Candidates should have -
(a)(i) completed a relevant approved technician apprenticeship and obtained a certificate in motor vehicle engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent; or (ii) completed a relevant approved craft apprenticeship and obtained a certificate in motor vehicle engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, IVE or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent, and at least 1 year’s post-apprenticeship experience in motor vehicle engineering; or (iii) completed a relevant approved technician apprenticeship with at least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in motor vehicle engineering; or (iv) completed a relevant approved craft apprenticeship with at least 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in motor vehicle engineering;
(b) a valid full Hong Kong driving licence for medium goods vehicle; and
(c) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Secondary 3 standard.

(d) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。
