職責
警員(專門人員)[樂隊隊員]主要負責專門工作的職責為:
(a) 執行樂隊每天的例行工作,包括為綵排及表演裝卸和設置樂器及裝備,及維持樂隊大樓的保安;
(b) 出席由警隊、特區政府及其他機構主辦的綵排、表演及會操;
(c) 定時檢查樂器及制服,確保它們妥當合用,如發現損壞或需要修理/更換,即須向長官報告;
(d) 遵照樂隊主任或樂隊副總監的指示,修讀音樂課程,以提高樂理知識;及
(e) 嚴守高水平的紀律及儀容。
(註:要穿著制服及彈性輪班當值,或須在香港境外的地區工作,並須遵守《警隊條例》的紀律規定。)

A Police Constable (Specialist) [Bandsmen] is mainly deployed on specialist duties including the following -
(a) carrying out the day-to-day routine duties of the band, including loading / unloading / setting up of instruments and equipment for rehearsal / performance, and monitoring the security of the Band Block;
(b) attending all the rehearsals, performances and parades organised by the Force, the HKSAR Government and other organisations;
(c) conducting regular checks on their instruments and uniform to ensure that they are in working condition and to report to senior officers any damage and when repair or replacement is required;
(d) enhancing their musical knowledge by attending musical courses as directed by Bandmaster or Deputy Director of Music; and
(e) maintaining the highest standards of discipline and turn-out.
(Note: May be required to wear uniform, work shifts and/ or irregular hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays, work in an area outside the HKSAR and will be subject to discipline under the Police Force Ordinance.)

(i) 木管樂器、銅管樂器、敲擊樂器,並持有由英國皇家音樂學院所頒發的八級或以上證書,或具備同等程度;或
(ii) 蘇格蘭風笛或蘇格蘭鼓,並持有由英國風笛學院 (The College of Piping, UK) 所頒發的三級或以上證書,或具備同等程度;或具備最少一年參與任何風笛及鼓樂團的演出經驗;
(d) 能通過所有遴選要求包括試演及體能測試;
(e) 符合下列體格標準︰
男性-身高至少163厘米,體重至少50公斤﹔女性-身高至少152厘米,體重至少42公斤;
(f) 通過視力測驗,戴眼鏡人士亦可申請,但必須在不配戴矯視工具下,通過測驗 ﹔
(g) 是香港特別行政區永久性居民,及在香港至少居住滿七年 ﹔及
(h) 符合下列《基本法》測試的要求︰
政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。在《基本法》測試取得及格成績,是學歷要求定於完成中學階段程度或以上但低於學位/專業程度的公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在滿分100分中取得53分或以上(即在15題中答對8題或以上),會被視為取得《基本法》測試的及格成績。此外,申請人在《基本法》測試的成績會佔其整體表現評分的一個適當比重。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法》測試或未曾在《基本法》測試考獲及格成績,仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法》測試。

(a) (i) have Level 2 or equivalent [Note (2)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note (3)], or equivalent; or
(ii) have Level 2 [Note (4)] / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note (3)], or equivalent;
(b) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (4)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese;
(c) be proficient in performing with one or more of the following musical instruments:
(i) Western Woodwind, Brass, Percussion Instruments with Grade 8 or above Certificate from the Royal School of Music or equivalent; or
(ii) Scottish Bagpipe or Highland Drum with Grade 3 or above Certificate of the College of Piping, UK or equivalent; or with at least 1 year of performance experience in any Pipes and Drums ensemble;
(d) be able to pass all the selection requirements, including music audition and physical fitness test;
(e) fulfill minimum physical standards as follows -
Male : height 163 cm, weight 50 kg; Female : height 152 cm, weight 42 kg;
(f) pass an initial eyesight test without the aid of any eyesight correction tools;
(g) be permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and have resided in Hong Kong for at least seven years; and
(h) fulfill the Basic Law Test requirements as follows -
all applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their Basic Law knowledge. A pass result in the Basic Law Test is an entry requirement for civil service jobs requiring non-degree / non-professional qualifications at or above completion of secondary education level. Only those candidates who have passed the Basic Law Test will be considered for appointment. Attaining a score at or above 53 out of the full mark of 100 (i.e. getting at least 8 out of 15 questions correct) will be deemed to have a pass result in the Basic Law Test. The Basic Law Test result will also constitute an appropriate weighting in a candidate’s overall assessment. For candidates who have not taken the Basic Law Test or have not attained a pass result in the Basic Law Test at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the Basic Law Test during the recruitment process.

入職條件(註)
(1) 自2009 年4月1日起新聘的警員,在所屬職級服務滿12年、18 年、24 年及30年而工作表現良好,可獲得4個長期服務增薪點,即37,310元 (警務人員薪級表第16點) 至40,610元 (警務人員薪級表第19點) 。頂薪點的資料只供參考,該項資料日後或會有所更改。
(2) 政府在聘任公務員時,香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標並表現優異」及「達標並表現優異(I)」成績,以及其他語言科目C級成績,會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績;香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標」成績,以及其他語言科目E級成績,會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。
(3) 有關科目可包括中國語文及英國語文科。
(4) 政府在聘任公務員時,2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績,在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
