職責
漁業主任主要負責與捕撈漁業、水產養殖和魚市場相關的工作，包括規劃、管理、執法、研究、發展、貸款、培訓、指導、推廣，以及環保方面的工作；此外，亦須負責與海洋護理、海岸公園及海岸保護區相關的工作，包括規劃、管理、執法、教育、指導、研究、發展，以及環境影響評估方面的工作。
(註：可能須不定時工作或輪班工作；在新界工作及隨政府船隻或商營漁船出海工作。)
A Fisheries Officer is mainly deployed on performing planning, management, enforcement, research, development, credit, training, advisory, extension and environmental work relating to capture fisheries, aquaculture and fish market; and performing planning, management, enforcement, education, advisory, research, development and environmental impact assessment work relating to marine conservation, marine parks and marine reserves.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours or shift duties; work in the New Territories; and work on board a government vessel or commercial fishing vessel on her cruises.)
入職條件
(a) 持有香港頒授的應用或自然科學適當學科的一級或二級榮譽學位，或具同等學歷；(b) 在取得學位後在適當範疇上具三年有關工作經驗或持有香港頒授應用或自然科學適當學科的較高學位或研究生文憑，或具同等學歷；及 (c) 在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷(包括中文運用及英文運用)中取得「一級」成績，此外，亦須在綜合招聘考試能力傾向測試試卷取得及格成績。
(a) a Hong Kong first or second class honours degree in an appropriate subject in Applied or Natural Science, or equivalent; (b) three years’ post-graduate experience in an appropriate field or a Hong Kong higher degree or post-graduate diploma in an appropriate subject in Applied or Natural Science, or equivalent; and (c) have ‘Level 1’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE). A pass result in the Aptitude Test in the CRE is also required.
入職條件(註)
(1) 在大學修讀研究院而預計六個月內取得所須的較高學位的學生亦可申請，但必須取得較高學歷才會獲考慮聘任。(2) 能力傾向測試的考生成績分為及格或不及格，而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績則分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。(3) 香港高級程度會考英語運用科「C」級或以上和「D」級成績(或同等成績)分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。(4) 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會視為已符合漁業主任職位的英文語文能力要求(即入職條件(c)項。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2012年6月29日)仍然有效。(5) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位/專業程度職系)的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。)
