(a) To take part in developing the Technology Education curriculum, in particular, in subjects related to the discipline, which will include tasks such as positioning the subjects in the wider perspective of school curriculum, drafting of syllabus contents, implementation strategies, learning, teaching and assessment materials, etc.; (b) to assist and take part in planning, organizing and conducting in-service teacher development/education programmes to facilitate the implementation of the Technology Education curriculum and other curriculum initiatives; (c) to provide secretarial support to various committees under the purview of the Section, which would include tasks such as preparing discussion papers, progress reports, brief to chairman and other relevant officers, etc.; (d) to plan and take part in various evaluation and research projects to assess the effectiveness of curriculum implementation as well as the learning needs of students; (e) to assist and take part in the planning and provision of supporting services to schools to enable institutionalization of curriculum proposals in schools; and (f) to perform any other duties as required by the Administration for enhancing the quality of education in schools.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Business-related Subject or equivalent; and a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [see Note (ii)]; (b) 'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [see Note (iii)]; (c) at least 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience in teaching and/ or curriculum development [see Note (iv)]; (d) understanding the world trend of the school curriculum, the development of the discipline and able to relate it to the development of the business subjects in the local situation; (e) good communication, thinking and inter-personal skills; and (f) preference will be given to candidates who possess a higher degree related to curriculum studies, or equivalent.
