• (a)to conduct research on development-related issues;
• (b)to conduct comparative analysis on such issues;
• (c)to write up reports based on the research findings and analysis;
• (d)to assist in drafting articles and speeches;
• (e)to assist in drafting replies to public enquiries;
• (f)to assist in the conduct of community engagement exercises; and
• (g)to perform other duties as required by the Bureau.

Candidates should have -

• (a)a bachelor degree in journalism or communication from a local university, or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years' full-time post-qualification media/journalistic experience; or a diploma in journalism or communication from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and a minimum of 10 years' full-time post-qualification media/journalistic experience;
• (b)good command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese;
• (c)good understanding of community affairs;
• (d)effective research skills, including the use of online resources;
• (e)strong communication, organizational and presentation skills; and
• (f)be mature, self-motivated and able to work long or irregular hours.
