(a) plan and coordinate the processing of UGC/RGC funding schemes; (b) handle research applications submitted by the eight UGC-funded institutions; (c) implement the assessment process of applications/research outputs by coordinating with academic panel members and external reviewers, and arranging panel meetings; (d) carry out the subsequent monitoring duties relating to the funded research projects; (e) edit UGC/RGC publications; (f) plan and arrange UGC/RGC functions; and (g) other duties as assigned.

(a) have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; (b) have excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English. The candidates should have Grade 'C' or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), and Grade ‘C’ or above in Use of English of the HKALE or English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level), or equivalent; (c) have knowledge and experience in administration/managerial field. The candidate must have a minimum total of four years’ post-degree working experience in administrative/managerial positions. Preference will be given to candidates with working experience in research administration, handling applications for research funds and/or higher education sector. (d) be proactive, and have a strong sense of responsibility as well as the ability to work independently; (e) possess strong organisational power, planning and analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure; and (f) have good computer proficiency.
