中文撰稿主任的職責包括撰寫演辭、文章、題辭和報告，編輯和翻譯有關新聞、宣傳及廣告的資料，並為中文應用等相關事宜提供專業意見。中文撰稿主任須願意不定時工作及能在緊迫時間內完成工作。
職責
Duties of the Chinese Language Writer will include writing Chinese speeches, articles, apothegms and reports; editing news, publicity and advertising related materials; and providing professional advice on the use of Chinese Language. The Chinese Language Writer will be required to work outside normal working hours and meet tight deadlines.
入職條件
- (1)(a) 持有本港大學所頒授的學位，或具同等學歷；及具有10年或以上中文寫作的工作經驗；或
- (b)持有香港任何一所專上院校頒發經評審的中文系或新聞系副學士學位/高級文憑，或同等學歷；及具有10年或以上中文寫作的工作經驗；或
- (c)持有註冊專上學院註冊後所頒發的中文系或新聞系文憑，或具同等學歷；及具有10年或以上中文寫作的工作經驗；或
- (d)在香港中學文憑考試五科考獲第3級或同等

[註二] ，或具同等學歷；或在香港高級程度會考考獲兩科及格，並在香港中學會考另外三科考獲第3等級/C級或同等

中文撰稿主任筆試：
具資格的申請人須參加並通過新聞處舉辦的筆試，方有機會參加面試。
- (1)(a) a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; plus at least 10 years’ work experience in Chinese writing; OR
- (b)an accredited associate degree/higher diploma in Chinese language studies or journalism from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; plus at least 10 years’ work experience in Chinese writing; OR
- (c)a diploma in Chinese language studies or Journalism from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; plus at least 10 years’ work experience in Chinese writing; OR
- (d)Level 3 or equivalent
Note 1] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE)
Note 2] , with Chinese Language being one of the five subjects, or equivalent; or a pass in two subjects at Advanced level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Level 3/Grade C or equivalent
Note3] or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
Note 2] , with Chinese Language being one of the five subjects, or equivalent; plus at least 13 years’ work experience in Chinese writing; OR
- (e)Level 2 or equivalent

Note 1] or above in Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE)
Note 2] , or equivalent; or Level 2/Grade E or equivalent

- (2)very good understanding of current affairs;
- (3)very good communication skills; and
- (4)good Chinese word processing skills.
Chinese Language Writer Written Examination Eligible applicants are required to sit a written examination conducted by Information Services Department. Only those who have passed the examination will be further considered for the selection interview.

(一)香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標並表現優異」成績，以及其他語言科目C級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績；香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。 (二)有關科目可包括英國語文科。 (三)2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
