Graduate trainees will receive practical training under professional guidance meeting the training requirements of the relevant professional institutions.

• (I)An acceptable degree in the relevant discipline from a Hong Kong university or equivalent (obtained in 2015 or after), or other non-degree qualifications acceptable to the relevant professional institutions (obtained in October 2014 or after) as follows :

• (a)FOR ENGINEERING GEOLOGY GRADUATES - a degree in Geology, Earth Science or Applied Earth Science or a qualification closely related to these subjects, which satisfies the academic requirements for
  • (i)corporate membership of the Geotechnical discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and for admission into the HKIE Training Scheme “A” in the Geotechnical discipline, or
  • (ii)Chartered Geologist status under the Geological Society, UK;
• (b)FOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING GRADUATES - a degree in Civil Engineering or a qualification, which satisfies the academic requirements for corporate membership of the Geotechnical discipline of the HKIE and for admission into the HKIE Training Scheme “A” in the Geotechnical discipline; and
  • (II)Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of engagement unless specified otherwise.
