• (a)To assist in managing the Facebook of the Bureau;
• (b)To monitor news relating to the work of DEVB on social media;
• (c)To conduct research on development-related issues;
• (d)To conduct comparative analysis on such issues;
• (e)To write up reports based on the research findings and analysis;
• (f)To assist in drafting articles and speeches;
• (g)To assist in the conduct of community engagement exercises;
• (h)To assist in drafting replies to public enquiries; and
  • (i)To perform other duties as required by the Bureau.

Candidates should:-

• (a)have a bachelor degree in journalism, communication or political studies from a local university, or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years’ full-time post-qualification media/journalistic/political experience; or a diploma in journalism or communication from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and a minimum of 10 years’ full-time post-qualification media/journalistic/political experience;
• (b)have good command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese;
• (c)have good understanding of community affairs;
• (d)well versed with IT skills and social media;
• (e)have effective research skills, including the use of online resources;
• (f)have strong communication, organizational and presentation skills; and
• (g)be mature, self-motivated and able to work long or irregular hours.
