(a) To assist in managing the Facebook of the Bureau; (b) To monitor news relating to the work of DEVB on social media; (c) To conduct research on development-related issues; (d) To conduct comparative analysis on such issues; (e) To write up reports based on the research findings and analysis; (f) To assist in drafting articles and speeches; (g) To assist in the conduct of community engagement exercises; (h) To assist in drafting replies to public enquiries; and (i) To perform other duties as required by the Bureau.

Candidates should:- (a) have a bachelor degree in journalism, communication or political studies from a local university, or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years’ full-time post-qualification media/journalistic/political experience; or a diploma in journalism or communication from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and a minimum of 10 years’ full-time post-qualification media/journalistic/political experience; (b) have good command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese; (c) have good understanding of community affairs; (d) well versed with IT skills and social media; (e) have effective research skills, including the use of online resources; (f) have strong communication, organizational and presentation skills; and (g) be mature, self-motivated and able to work long or irregular hours.
