(a) assist in improving, refurbishing, repairing and maintaining science exhibits and technical equipment of the Science Museum; (b) assist in the operation of the exhibit and technical systems and their installations; and (c) assist in feasibility tests, equipment and material researches, engineering study and design, procurement and fabrication of museum exhibits and technical equipment. (Note: May be required to undergo training relevant to the duties and perform shift duties and work irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.)

(a) Diploma or Higher Certificate from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent, majoring in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note (2)]; and (c) at least one year’s full-time working experience in electronic or mechanical engineering design, installation, maintenance and repair work. (2) For non-civil service appointment purpose, 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language respectively in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]
