職責
樂隊主任(督察-專門人員)主要負責專門工作的職責為:
(a) 帶領及與樂隊成員一起演出,包括進行步操表演;
(b) 如有需要,為樂隊各成員提供個別教授;
(c) 管理樂隊的行政事務、收入及支出賬目等;
(d) 監督樂隊各成員的士氣及福利;
(e) 保養樂隊所有設施及樂器;以及
(f) 維持樂隊各成員高水平的紀律及儀容。
(註:或要穿著制服及彈性輪班當值,或須在香港境外的地區工作,並須遵守《警隊條例》的紀律規定。)

An Inspector of Police (Specialist) [Bandmaster] is mainly deployed on specialist duties including the following -
(a) leading and performing Police Band musical performance with Bandsmen, including marching display performance;
(b) providing personal tuition to all Band members when required;
(c) overseeing the administration and controlling the revenue and expenditure of the Band;
(d) monitoring the morale and welfare of the Bandsmen;
(e) maintaining all facilities and musical instruments and equipment of the Band; and
(f) maintaining a high standard of discipline and turnout of all members of the Band.
(Note: May be required to wear uniform, work shifts and/or irregular hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays, work in an area outside the HKSAR and will be subject to discipline under the Police Force Ordinance.)

(ii) 持有香港的大學所頒發學位,或香港高等院校頒發並獲認可的副學士學位,或香港其中一間理工學院╱理工大學╱香港專業教育學院╱科技學院的高級文憑,或註冊專上學院註冊後所頒發的文憑,或同等學歷,並符合語文能力要求,在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科成績達第二等級[註(6)]或以上成績,或具同等成績 [入職薪點:警務人員薪級表第24點(月薪46,295元);或
(iii) 持有香港中學文憑考試五科第三級或同等或以上成績[註(7)],或同等學歷,或持有香港高級程度會考兩科(高級程度)E級或以上成績及香港中學會考其他三科第三級/C級或以上成績,或同等學歷,並符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科成績考獲第二級[註(6)]或以上成績,或具同等成績[註(3a)至(3b)] [入職薪點:警務人員薪級表第23點(月薪44,910元)];
(b) 能閱讀及書寫中文及操流利粵語;
(c) 能通過所有遴選要求[註(8)]包括體能測試;
(d)(i) 精通一或多種木管,銅管或敲擊樂器,持有獲認可的專業文憑,或具同等學歷,並持有由英國皇家音樂學院所頒發的第八級或以上的樂理證書 ; 或
(ii) 精通一或多種木管,銅管或敲擊樂器,並持有由英國皇家音樂學院所頒發的第八級或以上證書,或具同等學歷,並持有主修音樂的學位或持有獲認可的樂理專業文憑,或具同等學歷;
(e) 精通指揮交響管樂隊;
(f) 精通為交響管樂隊編曲;
(g) 必須是香港特別行政區永久性居民,及在香港至少居住滿七年;以及
(h) 符合下列《基本法》測試的要求︰
政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。在《基本法》測試取得及格成績,是學歷要求定於完成中學階段程度或以上但低於學位/專業程度的公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如在滿分100分中取得53分或以上(即在15題中答對8題或以上),會被視為取得《基本法》測試的及格成績。此外,申請人在《基本法》測試的成績會佔其整體表現評分的一個適當比重。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加《基本法》測試或未曾在《基本法》測試考獲及格成績,仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法》測試。

(a)(i) have a Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [Note (2) to (4)] [Entry point: Police Pay Scale Point 25 ($47,690 per month)] [Note (5)]; or
(ii) have a Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or an accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or a Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college, or a Diploma from a registered post-secondary college awarded after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (6)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; [Entry point: Police Pay Scale Point 24 ($46,295 per month)]; or
(iii) have Level 3 or equivalent or above in five subjects in HKDSEE [Note (7)], or equivalent; or have Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Level 3/Grade C or above in three other subjects in HKCEE, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (6)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent [Note (3a)to(3b)] [Entry point: Police Pay Scale Point 23 ($44,910) per month];
(b) be able to read and write Chinese and speak fluent Cantonese;
(c) be able to pass all the selection requirements[Note (7)] including a physical fitness test;
(d)(i) be proficient in performing with one or more Western Woodwind, Brass or Percussion Instruments with an acknowledged Professional Diploma or equivalent, and have a Grade 8 or above Certificate in Musical Theory from the Royal School of Music, or equivalent; or
(ii) be proficient in performing with one or more Western Woodwind, Brass or Percussion Instruments with Grade 8 or above Certificate from the Royal School of Music or equivalent, and have a Bachelor degree majoring in music or an acknowledged Professional Diploma in Music Theory, or equivalent;
(e) be proficient in conducting a symphonic band;
(f) be proficient in arranging music for a symphonic band;
(g) be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and have lived in Hong Kong for at least seven years; and
(h) fulfill the Basic Law Test requirements as follows -
all applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their Basic Law knowledge. A pass result in the Basic Law Test is an entry requirement for civil service jobs requiring non-degree / non-professional qualifications at or above completion of secondary education level. Only those candidates who have passed the Basic Law Test will be considered for appointment. Attaining a score at or above 53 out of the full mark of 100 (i.e. getting at least 8 out of 15 questions correct) will be deemed to have a pass result in the Basic Law Test. The Basic Law Test result will also constitute an appropriate weighting in a candidate’s overall assessment. For candidates who have not taken the Basic Law Test or have not attained a pass result in the Basic Law Test at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the Basic Law Test during the recruitment process.
(ii) have a Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or an accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or a Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college, or a Diploma from a registered post-secondary college awarded after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (6)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; [Entry point: Police Pay Scale Point 24 ($46,295 per month)]; or
(iii) have Level 3 or equivalent or above in five subjects in HKDSEE [Note (7)], or equivalent; or have Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Level 3/Grade C or above in three other subjects in HKCEE, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (6)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent [Note (3a)to(3b)] [Entry point: Police Pay Scale Point 23 ($44,910) per month];

註(2) 由2006年12月舉行的綜合招聘考試開始,能力傾向測試的考生成績仍分「及格」或「不及格」,而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績則分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」,並以「二級」為最高等級。
