• (a)To provide manual support to the setup and daily operation of laboratories;
• (b)To assist in preparatory works for conducting audits of air quality monitoring network;
• (c)To help setting up and maintenance of in-house filing system; and
• (d)To assist in general laboratory works, data cross-checking and information searching.

Other Job-related Requirements: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department. The successful candidate may be required to

• (a)work during irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; and
• (b)work occasionally outdoors.

Applicants should have: –

• (a)completed Secondary 5, or equivalent;
• (b)at least one year’s relevant full-time working experience;
• (c)met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent

(Note: “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.); and (d) basic computer operation and internet skills.
