臨時獸醫主要負責(a)就管理野生動物工作提供獸醫服務，有關服務包括但不限於為野豬、猴子及其他野生動物進行麻醉、身體檢查及提供治療等；(b)在非辦公時間緊急出動拯救被困或受傷的野生動物；(c)在制訂野生動物管理政策時就動物福利事宜提供專業意見；(d)協助向相關持份者闡述病理事宜；及(e)執行上級指派的任何其他職務。
職責
A Temporary Veterinarian is mainly deployed on
- (a)providing veterinary support for the management of wild animals including but not limited to sedate, perform physical examination and provide treatments to wild pigs, monkeys or other wild animal species;
- (b)providing urgent veterinary support after office hours to rescue trapped or injured wild animals;
- (c)providing professional advice in relation to animal welfare issue when establishing wildlife management policy;
- (d)assisting to explain pathology related matters to relevant stakeholders; and
- (e)performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
入職條件
申請者必須具備根據香港法例第529章《獸醫註冊條例》可以在香港註冊為獸醫的資格（註1, 2）。具備以下資格者可獲優先考慮：(a)一年或以上實務經驗；(b)應對大型或野生動物的經驗；(c)能操流利廣東話或英文；或(d)持有有效之駕駛執照(第一或二類)，並有實際駕駛經驗。

- (2)正在修讀最後一年課程的大學生亦可申請，惟須取得所需資歷，方可獲得錄用。
The applicant should have a veterinary qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance Cap. 529 (Note 1, 2). Preference will be given to candidates with:
- (a)at least one year of experience in practice;
- (b)experience in large or wild animals;
- (c)fluency in Cantonese or English; or
- (d)a valid Hong Kong driving licence (Classes 1 and 2) with practical driving experience.
