圖書館助理館長主要協助管理一所固定或流動圖書館，或協助監督圖書館服務的某個小組或個別部門圖書館。
註：
需輪班及不定時工作，包括於晚上、週末及公眾假期當值。
職責
An Assistant Librarian is mainly deployed on taking charge of a static or mobile library, or assist in supervising a sub-unit of a library service or department library.
Note:
Required to work shifts and irregular hours including evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.
入職條件
申請人須：
- (a)持有香港任何一所大學頒發的學士學位，或具同等學歷；持有圖書館管理相關學科的高級學位學歷者更佳；
- (b)符合語文能力的要求，即在綜合招聘考試的英文運用試卷中取得「二級」成績及在中文運用試卷中取得「一級」成績，或具同等成績；
- (c)能純熟使用常用商業電腦軟件(包括Microsoft Word、Excel、PowerPoint等)及中文文書處理；
- (d)具良好中英文寫作技巧，操良好英語及粵語，兼具普通話能力者更佳；
- (e)具良好的溝通技巧、人際關係和組織能力；
- (f)熟悉文化事務工作，包括文學藝術、圖書館及檔案館、圖書出版，將獲優先考慮；以及
- (g)擁有活動策劃及管理／圖書出版／政府部門或法定機構方面的工作經驗，將獲優先考慮。
Candidates should have -
- (a)a bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent. A higher degree in library and information services management related discipline will be an advantage;
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 result in the Use of English (UE) paper and Level 1 result in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent;
- (c)proficiency in the application of common business software (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Chinese word processing;
- (d)good writing skills in both English and Chinese, proficiency in speaking English and Cantonese. Ability to speak Putonghua will be an advantage;
- (e)excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills;
- (f)good knowledge of cultural services, including literary art, libraries and archive, book publishing will be an advantage; and
- (g)working experience in event management and production/ book publishing/ government or statutory body will be an advantage.
入職條件(註)
- (1)申請人須於申請表上清楚填寫其全部就業情況，學歷及在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷（中文運用和英文運用）的成績。申請人如未能提供所需的所有資料，或所填寫的資料未能清楚顯示申請人符合上述入職條件，其申請或可不獲考慮。
- (2)申請人所有資歷以截止申請日期或之前為準，截止申請日期後所獲得的資歷將不獲考慮。
- (3)申請人如獲邀參加遴選面試，必須提交有關修業成績、證書及綜合招聘考試成績正本以供核實其資格，並須提供副本以作記錄。申請人如未能提交所需文件正本以供核實其資格，其申請將不獲考慮。
- (4)綜合招聘考試的中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為二級、一級或不及格，並以二級為最高等級。
- (5)香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第4級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科D級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的一級成績。
- (6)香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績；或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。
- (7)在International English Language Testing System(IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，其IELTS成績可獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。
