(a) To render on-site school-based professional support services to secondary schools in respect of school curriculum development in the Mathematics Education Key Learning Area, and curriculum initiatives such as Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education, e-learning, self-directed learning, and catering for learner diversity as and when appropriate;
(b) To develop effective learning, teaching and assessment strategies as well as curriculum resources for enhancing student learning;
(c) To develop and enhance the professional capacity of curriculum leaders and to organise professional development activities for schools to facilitate their curriculum development;
(d) To disseminate the positive impact of school-based support services on learning and teaching effectiveness;
(e) To facilitate the conceptualisation of evidence-informed practices to generate contextual knowledge in curriculum planning, learning and teaching and assessment;
(f) To assist in administrative duties of the Section; and
(g) To perform any other duties assigned as and when required.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or equivalent [See Note (iii)];
(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(c) Met the language proficiency requirement of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [see Note (iv)];
(d) At least 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience in teaching and/or curriculum development in Mathematics, of which at least 4 years should be at the senior secondary level. 4 years of experience at relevant supervisory level preferred [See Note (v)];
(e) A pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST) [see Note (vi)];
(f) Good knowledge of the local education system and the curriculum reform; and
(g) Candidates may be required to take a written test on the day of selection interview.
