The Senior Manager (Technopreneurial Funding) is mainly deployed to assist in the administration of funding schemes, namely Enterprise Support Scheme (ESS) and the Public Sector Trial Scheme for the Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme (SERAP-PSTS). The list of duties includes –

• (a)oversee the administration of ESS and other schemes operated under ESS;
• (b)provide secretariat services to the Assessment Panel of ESS;
• (c)oversee the progress of funded projects under ESS and SERAP-PSTS;
• (d)promote technopreneurship and ESS in the community; and
• (e)perform any other duties as assigned by the seniors.

Candidates should have –

• (a)a bachelor's degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in Science / Technology / Engineering / Mathematics or other related disciplines [see Note
• (1)and (2)];
• (b)strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English and having met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note
• (2)and (3)];
• (c)at least ten years of post-qualification full-time experience in managerial positions in government, quasi-government bodies, other public organisations or the innovation and technology sector, of which at least three years in administering funding schemes for research and development in the technology field. Over four years of post-qualification full-time experience and proven track records in the technical research and development is a plus. Experience in the Government, universities or public bodies is preferred [see Note (4)]; and
• (d)good sense of governance and compliance, good analytical and problem-solving skills, good organization of work, strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels.
