土力工程師主要(a)策劃和進行土力工程勘察、設計、建築和研究工作，審核土力工程建議書，監督和巡查地盤，以及就房屋委員會承辦的工程管理有關的顧問公司；(b)提供土力工程、諮詢、土地勘探和維修斜坡的服務；以及(c)執行緊急任務，提供土力工程方面的意見。
職責
A Geotechnical Engineer is mainly deployed on
- (a)planning and carrying out geotechnical engineering investigations, designs, construction and studies, vetting geotechnical submissions, conducting site monitoring audits and managing consultants for works undertaken by the Housing Authority;
- (b)providing geological, advisory, ground investigation and slope maintenance services; and
- (c)attending emergency duties which require geotechnical advice.
入職條件
申請人必須
- (a)
- (i)為1975年12月5日以後選出的香港工程師學會(土力或土木組)正式會員，或具備同等資格；以及
- (a)
- (ii)具備兩年土力工程工作的經驗；或
- (b)
- (i)持有本港大學土木工程學位、工程地質學學位或地質學學位，或具備同等學歷；以及
- (b)
- (ii)在取得上述學歷後，有四年土力工程工作的經驗；(c)在綜合招聘考試的能力傾向測試取得及格成績；以及(d)符合語文能力程度，即綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷(包括中文運用及英文運用)一級成績，或同等成績（見備註(3)）。
Candidates should have
- (a)
- (i)Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Geotechnical or Civil Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent; and
- (a)
- (ii)2 years’experience in geotechnical engineering; or
- (b)
- (i)a degree in civil engineering, engineering geology, geology from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and
- (b)
- (ii)4 years’post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering; and
- (c)a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE); and
- (d)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent (see Note (3)).
入職條件(註)
- (1)視乎當時的情況，具有較多經驗的人士，可能因為具備超出最低規定的土力工程工作經驗而獲給予額外增薪點。
- (2)申請人若具備香港註冊專業工程師(岩土)資格，可獲優先考慮。
- (3)綜合招聘考試的中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為二級、一級或不及格，並以二級為最高等級。 香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上和D級成績( 或同等成績)分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級和一級成績。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上和D級的成績則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級和一級成績。 在International English Language Testing System ( IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上， 並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士， 在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內， 會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2012年7月20日)仍然有效。
- (4)為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位/專業程度職系)的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。
