擔任本職位的人員須負責民事訴訟及／或提供法律意見的工作。擔任本職位的人員會處理範圍較廣和性質較複雜的法律事宜。
職責
The post holders are required to undertake civil litigation and/or legal advisory work. The post holders will assume a higher level of responsibilities and will be required to handle more difficult and complex legal matters.

申請人須
- (a)
- (i)在《律政人員條例》第2A條及附表2所規定的認可司法區內取得律師資格後具備最少六年專業經驗；或(ii)在《律政人員條例》第2A條及附表2所規定的認可司法區內取得大律師資格和全面執業權後，具備最少七年專業經驗；以及
- (b)在香港中學文憑試或香港中學會考的英國語文科和中國語文科成績達第2等級或以上，或具同等學歷（註：政府在聘任非公務員合約員工時，過往香港中學會考英國語文科（課程乙）和中國語文科E級的成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考英國語文科和中國語文科第2等級的成績）。未具足夠規定專業經驗(但必須於取得律師資格後具備最少四年專業經驗，或於取得大律師資格和全面執業權後具備最少五年專業經驗)，或未具有規定語文資格者亦可申請。
Candidates should
- (a)
- (i)be solicitors with at least 6 years’ professional experience since admission in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance or
- (ii)be barristers with at least 7 years’ professional experience since attaining the right to full practice in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance; and
- (b)have attained Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
(Note: For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the 2007 HKCEE or henceforth.) Candidates with less working experience (a minimum of 4 years’ professional experience for solicitors or 5 years’ professional experience for barristers) or without the stipulated language requirements may also apply.
