An Agricultural Survey Officer is mainly deployed on (a) planning and designing field surveys pertaining to agricultural development; (b) organising and supervising field surveys, designing the methodology and procedure of data compilation and analysis, and preparing reports on field surveys; (c) performing cross-section and time-series studies pertaining to agricultural development and assessing the various factors contributing to sustainable agricultural development; (d) assisting in the design, planning and implementation of a viable model for sustainable agricultural development; (e) liaising with local farmers, communities and other departments/bureaux on matters related to agricultural development; and (f) providing professional support for his/her supervisors and performing other duties as may be required.

The applicant should have (a) a Hong Kong First or Second Class honours degree in an appropriate subject in Applied or Natural Science / Agriculture / Agricultural Economics / Economics / Statistics, or equivalent; (b) three years' post-graduate experience in an appropriate field or a Hong Kong Higher Degree or post-graduate Diploma in an appropriate subject in Applied or Natural Science / Agriculture / Agricultural Economics / Economics / Statistics, or equivalent; and (c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
