職責
郵差的主要職責包括︰
(a) 執行派遞前準備工作、紮起、護送和收派郵件,包括實地以隨身配備的電腦設備輸入所需資料;
(b) 分揀郵件及郵包,包括操作機械揀信系統及其他器材;
(c) 內勤郵件處理,包括齊信、蓋銷郵件及操作電腦系統以發送郵件及郵包;
(d) 以人手或用機器起卸及搬動郵袋及其他郵件;及
(e) 執行一般郵局櫃位職務。
此外,郵差必須穿著制服、輪班及/或超時工作,或須駕駛郵車。
A Postman is mainly deployed on:-
(a) preparation, bundling, mail escorting, delivery and collection of mail items, including onsite data input by using portable computer device;
(b) sorting of mails and parcels, including operation of the mechanized letter sorting system and other postal equipment;
(c) indoor mail processing, including facing and stamp canceling of mails and dispatching mails and parcels using computer system;
(d) loading, unloading and movement of bagged and other mails by physical handling or mechanical means; and
(e) post office general counter duties.
A Postman is required to wear uniform, to work shifts and/or overtime as necessary; and may be required to drive postal vehicles.
入職條件
申請人必須符合下列資格:
(a) 完成中四學業,或具同等學歷[註(1)];
(b) 有能力拉動標準重量的郵袋及背負標準重量的派遞郵袋,且於分揀郵件時能做到手眼協調[註(2)];及
(c) 具備相當於中四程度的中英文語文能力。
Candidates should have –
(a) completed Secondary 4, or equivalent [Note (1)];
(b) the ability to pull/carry a mail bag/delivery pouch of standard loading and have co-ordination in sorting mails [Note (2)]; and
(c) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Secondary 4 standard.
入職條件(註)
(1) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣,所有公務員職位的招聘,均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加遴選面試的應徵者,其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評核。除非兩位應徵者的整體表現相若,招聘當局才會參考應徵者在基本法知識測試中的表現。
(2) 不論男女,皆可申請此職位。獲邀參加體能及技能測試的應徵者須通過拉動標準重量的郵袋及背負標準重量的派遞郵袋的測試,及揀信測試。
