To work on shifts as duty stage manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of stage services; to supervise stage artisans and junior staff during fit-up, rehearsals and performances; to liaise with venue users to resolve technical problems. [Note: Appointees are required to work shifts, irregular hours and overnight; work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays; and perform outdoor, typhoon and rainstorm duties.]

Applicants should have – (a) (i) Advanced Diploma from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent; OR (ii) Diploma from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent, with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a position of production or stage manager in a major performing arts venue or company; (b) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (see Note 2) or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; OR (ii) Level 2 (see Note 3) / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (c) Good interpersonal and supervisory skills; (d) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage; and (e) Good general computer skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2000 (or above) will be an advantage.
