職責
技工（打磨）主要負責在香港各警察無線電工場進行各類金屬／無線電設備的裝置／維修工程。
[註：(一)須於高空(包括電線塔上)工作；及(二)或須不定時工作。]

An Artisan (Fitter) is mainly deployed on all types of metal/radio installation/repair works in Police Radio Workshops anywhere in Hong Kong.

入職條件
申請人必須：
(a) (i) 具備五年從事機械工程的工作經驗，包括進行無線電、電力或金屬工程，或具同等工作經驗；或
(ii) 順利完成機械工程的正式學徒訓練或其他認可實習訓練課程(內容包括無線電、電力或金屬工程)，或具同等資歷；
(b) 具備操作鑽床、銑床、車床和雕刻機的經驗；以及
(c) 能以粵語／中文和簡單英文溝通，閱讀簡單中文和簡單英文，以及書寫簡單中文或簡單英文。

(a) (i) have 5 years’ working experience in Mechanical Engineering including radio, electrical or metal works, or equivalent; or
(ii) have successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship or other approved course of practical training in Mechanical Engineering including radio, electrical or metal works, or equivalent;
(b) have experience in operating drilling, milling, lathe and engraving machinery; and
(c) be able to communicate in Cantonese/Chinese and simple English; read simple Chinese and simple English; and write simple Chinese or simple English.

(1) 申請人須通過技能測試，包括於電線塔上進行裝置工程。
(2) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在《基本法》測試中的表現。
